A change of pace.

Training has stepped up a notch over the past couple of weeks - we're moving faster over shorter distances (fastest lap is now 10"50') in order to increase our distance with speed (that made no sense, but you get the idea). This in turn leads to shin splints!!! Got that covered though, and I'll be bike training all week this week to rest them. I'm actually getting a tan this year!!!

I know the idea of a tan sounds great - please remember to use sunscreen. Melanoma is no picnic.

Sounds like you are quite the fitness machine! I don't know how you do it though - the heat takes me out of the game for anything outside in the summer.

Thanks Mom!! Factor 50 alright with you?

As for the heat, it's not recommended, but we are hydrating and refueling electrolytes etc. It'll make the run in January that much easier :)
