Master Choe (that's pronounced Chay!) in da house?

I'm taking the frogs jnr to an interview with Master Choe tomorrow - he is a 9th level black belt (you get 10th when you die apparently) specializing in Tae Kwon Do - he is even in the Guinness Book of Records for training a 5 year old to black belt level!

Now depending on the cost and the times etc. I may even join in - it's a good way to stretch the old bones!!

I am so excited for you guys! I checked the site thoroughly - he appears to be the real deal. Those kids all look happy, relaxed and like they WANT to be there. I would expect to pay a fair amount for lessons from a 9th degree Grand Master - but it would so be worth it.

Well I've signed Will up for now - it's $110 a month :O but that's 3 lessons a week... we'll see how he does :)

Well - it is expensive, but he IS a Grand Master, right? What are you hoping he gets out of it?

Well he doesn't need discipline, he is very respectful towards others... what I am hoping is that he gains some self-confidence and improves his fitness levels. The major factor here is that he really wants to do it.

I was very proudly watching him yesterday as he was given one-on-one training from Master Choe himself :) Oh, and he also knows what a 'crunch' is now :D

i personaly know master choe. ive been goin to choe's since i was in 2nd grade, but then quit due to family issue but joined hapkido and taekwondo aain in 7th grade. master choe has taught me disipline, respect, and honor. and as well as mrs. choe i also can write in korean because of her. this is a great place to be and the whole family can join!


for people who want to loose weight and get n shape, well i attended 2 classes everyday then on tues. and thurs. i would take hapkido and taekwondo so 3 classes i lost 20lbs. in 3 weeks.


master choe is the real deal and a great man!!

Well here we are in all our glory (and a lot of pain in the middle pic!) Thanks to my Garmin GPS watch (early Birthday present!) I was able to pace us to perfection.... we started out a little fast - had to pull in the reigns a little as all the newbs were a little over-zealous !!!! I noticed a few people pulling out before mile 3 with shocked looks on their faces :( ... by the halfway mark we'd managed a very respectable 3hr14m which gave us some breathing room for the 7hr cutoff time. 18 miles was our landmark - we'd not gone further than that in training... we had beaten our previous time by over an hour!
